Cable Management Done Right

When it comes to cable management, there is a right way and a wrong way. And if you know anything about typical server room cable management, the wrong way can become very VRY wrong – a huge mess that’s dangerous to a network’s health and stability.

We always recommend spending the extra money (and it’s not much at all) for Neat-Patch panels. They make all the difference in keeping a rack tidy and manageable. And of course, color coding the patch cables not only helps when troubleshooting, but also looks wicked.

Windows Server 2008 and 2008 R2 End of Support

It’s going to be a big year for many clients. If you have servers running Windows 2008 R2, you’ll be needing to upgrade before security updates cease in January 2020.

Some gotchas… this is likely not a straight OS upgrade for many. Server 2019 may require hardware upgrades to add additional resources to your physical systems. This may be a good time to look into a complete server upgrade as opposed to putting time, energy and $$$ into a server you will need to replace in a year anyway.
